Joe Stephens is Intercon’s Vice President and General Manager and serves on the Board of Directors. Joe has over fifteen years experience in the packaging, communications, and manufacturing industries. Joe started with Intercon as the Manufacturing Manager and later held the position of Project Manager concerning IT initiatives and general management duties. Prior to joining Intercon, he worked at Ericsson as a Project Coordinator in the broadband division. He also worked in the Flow Control Center and as Customer Order Manager. While at Ericsson, Joe received APICS Certification. Before joining Ericsson, Joe worked at Power Packaging, Inc. and was placed in a “fast track management” program regarding the areas of warehouse management, production management, quality control, master scheduling, accounting, and supply chain management. He achieved the position of Project Manager for ERP system implementations and plant layout initiatives. Joe graduated from Virginia Tech earning a B.S. degree in Business, with a concentration in Production and Operations Management.

Bridget joined the Intercon team in May of 1985. Initially employed in manufacturing support, she filled the role of Quality Assurance Manager in June, 1988 and Floor Operations Director in February, 2006. She continues to serve as Project Manager since October, 2008 and successfully Coordinated ISO 9000 efforts at Intercon to registration in April, 1998 as well as recertification to the 2008 revision and serves as the ISO Management Representative. She has also completed an intensive Black Belt Six Sigma problem solving course and leads continual improvement and educational efforts with Intercon's workforce to assist in maintaining the quality demands of the industry. She has been a Certified IPC Trainer of the WHMA/IPC-A-620A wire harness industry standard since June, 2003. Bridget enjoys the challenging and rewarding employment opportunities Intercon has offered over the years and thinks of Intercon as her second home and her co-workers as her second family. She is married with 2 daughters and keeps busy with gardening and home improvement projects. Bridget and her family share their home with Max and Roxy, their 3 year old miniature dachshunds.

Darrell joined Intercon, Inc. in 1997 after 18 years experience in Quality Assurance, and department management. Darrell has directed inspection activities, trained inspection personnel, wrote and implemented Quality Manuals, and developed Operating Procedures. After joining Intercon in 1997, Darrell filled the Assistant QA Manager position. Responsibilities included inspection and testing of product, review and approval of Engineering Change Notices, performing internal audits, maintaining calibration system, RMA system, and corrective actions. Later, Darrell was promoted to the Quality Assurance Manager position responsible for maintaining the high level requirements of Intercon quality and overseeing all areas related to quality. Darrell has three sons and five grandchildren. For fun, Darrell enjoys all sports and spending time with family and friends.

Paul has worked in the wire and cable industry for 30 years.  Beginning at GE Fanuc in 1978 as a Drill Operator, he progressed through various positions including Auto-insertion and Sequencing Machine Technician, Quality Assurance Test Operator, and Electrical Vehicle Controls Technician.  In 1986, he achieved the position of Wire Harness Department Manager and remained until 1994.  He was then recruited to Intercon in conjunction with operations agreements between GE Fanuc and Intercon and helped managed transitions, later becoming the Facility Manager.  In addition, Paul leads the safety and security program, and serves as Haz-Mat coordinator.  He is currently assessing and implementing various “green” initiatives.   Paul has participated in numerous technical training programs throughout his career as well as management and accounting coursework at the University of Virginia.
